For many years I submitted content to VirtualTourist.com, which was a Travellers Dream website. I was a member there for 17 years, and was pretty upset when the decision was made to close the site down earlier this year. Since then I’ve been wanting to continue sharing my experiences with the world, but wasn’t sure which was the best medium. Happily though, I’d like to introduce the world to Travels of a Migrant 🙂
I left South Africa when I was 18 years old to live in the UK (and a couple of other European countries), and since then, while I might not be the most travelled of people, I feel I’ve seen a fair bit of the world already. I Love seeing new places, meeting new people, and experiencing new Cultures.
Besides seeing most of Scotland by now (I have lived here for many years), some of the countries I’ve visited are:
That makes 17 and counting. Over time I’m going to attempt to write Articles about my experiences in each of the countries I’ve visited, but I’m also aiming to keep updating the Site with any new adventures I find myself on.
I’m also an avid Photographer, although if i’m honest, of late I’ve found it easier to use my Phone to take pics, as opposed to lugging around my DSLR… Most of the pics you’ll see on my Site are my own, though there are some experiences from the past where I unfortunately have not got the pictures any more, and I’ve had to scrounge from the internet of things.
